Wedding cakes, as well as other cakes that are three tiers and larger require a deposit of thirty percent (30%) of the cake price plus set up and delivery fees. Also, in order to schedule your cake on your chosen event date, a twenty percent (20%) non-refundable retainer fee is required. Without the deposit and retainer fee, in addition to a signed contract, we will not be able to hold your date. Priority will be given to paying customers with a signed contract.
All other cakes and desserts must be paid in full at the time of ordering in order for them to be added to our schedule. If you have not paid in part or in full, then your order is not confirmed and hence it is not added to our schedule.
Orders of $250 or more that are placed over 20 days in advance, may be payed in two parts. However, ALL orders must be payed in full one (1) week prior to the event date. We will not start working on an order that has not been paid in full. No exceptions.
All wedding cakes, and three tier and larger cakes require clients to sign a contract in addition to the deposit and non-refundable retainer fee for the cake to be considered Booked. Any deposit that is not accompanied by a signed contract will be refunded within 2 days of being received minus a 5% processing fee, if done through our website.
A quick sketch is made for all cakes during the consultation appointment to help you decide if you want to use our cake services. Once you have decided to hire us for your event, and full payment or the non-refundable deposit has been processed, a detailed sketch of your cake may be emailed or texted to you for confirmation.
Once a cake design has been confirmed, changes on the design can be made up to 30 days before the event. Any changes we may agree to making 29 days or less before the event, may incur in an additional fee. Absolutely no changes will be accepted 15 days or less prior to the event. No exceptions!
Wedding and custom cakes are designed to serve the number of people we agree upon during our consultation. Our celebration cake serving size is 1.5" wide x 3" long x 4" tall, and our wedding (event style) cake serving size is 1" wide x 2" long x 4" tall. This may vary for certain shapes. If necessary, we may discuss with you the exact size of the individual serving during consultation depending on the shape and size of your custom cake.
Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, we do strive for perfection and excellency in customer service. So, if you have any problems with your order, please do not hesitate to contact us and we'll do whatever we can to make it right for you.
Due to our attention to detail, we spend many hours planning and preparing way before you event date, which is why we do not accept cancellations on any orders 29 days or less from the event date, and why we will not provide a refund in those cases.
We will accept cancellations made at least 30 days in advance of your event date. However, we do charge 5% of the purchase price on ALL cancellations in order to cover any processing fees. This does not apply to the non-refundable deposit on wedding, groom, three-tier and larger cakes.
If you need to cancel your order, please send us an email to iandmbakers@gmail.com and we'll proceed accordingly per this cancellation policy.
Because we strive to make our baked goods the best in town, we require that large orders are made at least thirty (30) days in advance to your event date. Our goods are hand made and freshly baked for your event, so we need this time to plan our orders and make sure they are made to your satisfaction and ours.
Depending on our schedule, we may be able to accommodate your order. So, even if your event is less than 30 days away, do not hesitate to ask! You may be charged a rush order fee, though.
Sometimes we will take rush orders depending on how busy we are. However, rush orders may be charged an extra fee. All orders made 15 days or less prior to the event's date are considered Rush Orders. Visit our FAQ page for additional information.
Our business must abide by the Florida Cottage-Business Law, which at the time this policy is being written, prohibits that home-based bakeries ship their products via any known carrier.
Currently, we can only personally deliver our products directly to our customers in the Orlando and neighboring areas. Otherwise, customers may pick up their orders at one of our locations.
If you choose to pick up your cake and/or desserts and transport them yourself to your event, we are not liable or responsible for any of the products once they are handed over to you. You should prepare your vehicle so it is clean and free of items that could roll or slide onto the cake or other desserts. We do everything in our power to provide well-structured cakes and sturdy packaging, but please note that cakes, cookies and small desserts are very fragile and break easily. Please drive carefully and slowly!
If you are not picking up your order directly at one of our locations, we may be able to deliver it to you for a fee. There is a minimum delivery fee for wedding and three-tier or larger cakes. Visit our FAQ page for additional information.
Even though we charge per round-trip mile for our deliveries, minimum order amounts may also be in place for delivering to areas farther than 20 miles from our pick up location.
We are a family-operated business with strong religious and moral values. If you request a product with a theme that we may consider offensive or against our moral values or religious beliefs, we reserve the right to deny fulfilling your order. By visiting our website or inquiring with us on your custom request, you are automatically accepting this policy and free us from any type of liability.
In order to protect you and your guests, as well as our reputation, we request that all cakes and cake products being served at your event are exclusively provided by us.
For example, our company will not provide a wedding cake when sheet cakes, cupcakes, groom's cakes or cake pops are provided by any other baker without our permission. We have a reputation to maintain and it would be unfair to your guests to assume another baker's cake or dessert was ours. Any cake provided by our company will be removed from the venue, if while delivering your cake, we find out that another cake as stated above is being served at your event without our written consent.
Also, in the case that we give written consent to provide our cake while other baker's cake and/or desserts are also being provided at your event, we'll ask that you sign it, therefore freeing us from any liability in case your guests get sick or food poisoned by other desserts not provided by us.
Any cake placed outside during an event has the possibility of melting or deforming due to the heat and/or humidity.
We recommend that your cake is displayed indoors in a place that is cool and away from direct sun light or any heat source. If you choose to display a cake outdoors, we recommend using an air-conditioned tent. However, we are not liable for a cake provided by us, melting once it has been delivered or picked up because it was not stored or displayed properly.
